As owner and captain of Seacoast Tours of Freeport, I appreciate everyone’s patience during these difficult times. While we all want to enjoy summer in Maine, we understand things will be different this year. We are taking a proactive approach to seek out and understand the best practices for operating in the era of coronavirus. As these practices are more fully defined, we will be sure to keep you, our guests informed.
As small business in Maine, we support the ongoing national, state, and local efforts to protect everyone’s health and safety. We also support Maine’s tourism and hospitality industries, which are being severely affected by this global pandemic and are the life-blood of Maine’s economy.
At this point based on the State of Maine CDC and Governors orders, we will delay opening for the season until July 1st 2020. If we are able to continue, we will follow the State of Maine’s COVID-19 Response Plan and Sector Checklist and reduce the capacity of our vessel to allow safe distancing measures. All efforts will be made to wipe down surfaces between trips. Customers who make bookings ahead of time can always rebook or cancel their reservations with no penalties.
Most importantly we remain committed to our passenger’s and employee’s health and safety as our number one priority.
